Fair Gold
FAIRTRADE
Fairtrade Gold represents a sustainable future for artisanal and small-scale gold mining, benefiting miners, their families, and communities. Central to this are the guaranteed, stable minimum price for Fairtrade gold, the payment of an additional Fairtrade premium for community projects, and adherence to strict social, environmental, and economic criteria concerning labor and health protection, the environment, and specific fair trade regulations. Exploitative child labor is strictly prohibited in Fairtrade-certified mines.
By implementing a best-practice model, Fairtrade demonstrates that responsible and more sustainable artisanal gold mining is possible. This includes better and safer working conditions for miners, greater share and control over their respective value chains, fairer prices, and additional benefits for miners, their families, and communities.
The Fairtrade Gold Standard excludes the trade of gold from conflict zones.

Gold to be proud of
FAIRMINED GOLD
Fairmined is a certification label that certifies gold from responsible small-scale mining organizations.
The goal is to bring about positive change in artisanal small-scale mining, promote social development and environmental protection, and provide everyone with access to responsibly mined gold. Thanks to the Fairmined Standard, anyone purchasing gold and related precious metals (silver and platinum) can support local, community-based small-scale mining and make a positive contribution to more responsible practices. Fairmined offers flexible models to meet the diverse needs of companies: from 100% physical traceability for businesses wishing to label their products with the Fairmined label, to more flexible CSR models.
Since February 2023, Lisa’s business has held a license with the Fairmined ID: DE30015.

reprocessed gold
Reprocessed gold
Reprocessed gold plays a central role when it comes to sustainability. This gold is carefully refined from pre-existing materials, such as old gold and jewelry remnants, and reused in its purest form. By doing so, we create an eco-friendly alternative that reduces the need for newly mined gold while conserving natural resources. We source our reprocessed gold from a regional partner.
your own gold
Do you have old gold at home or in your family? Perhaps old jewelry that is no longer worn? If you have gold alloys in a specific carat and color, with a minimum amount of about 15g to 20g, we can use it to craft your jewelry or rings. Just bring it along, and we’ll take a look.
the term "recycled gold"
At Rose von Sharon, we consciously use the term "reprocessed gold" because the term "recycled gold" is often misunderstood. While recycled materials are typically derived from waste, such as electronic scrap, our gold comes from pre-existing materials that have been reintroduced into the cycle.
Our reprocessed gold is sourced from old gold or production remnants and is carefully refined without the addition of newly mined gold. This ensures not only the highest quality but also actively contributes to reducing environmental impact and promoting the responsible use of resources.
By choosing reprocessed gold, you are making a sustainable and ethical choice that preserves both the beauty of the material and the values it represents.
